FlightFX has released version 2.5.0 of its Piaggio P180 Avanti II for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, bringing a substantial collection of new features, systems improvements and visual enhancements to the distinctive Italian executive turboprop.
The developer confirmed on 26 October 2026 that the update is now available through the Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace.

Redesigned Electronic Flight Bag
One of the headline improvements is a completely revised Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), featuring a new split-screen interface and additional functionality.
The updated EFB includes:
- A moving map displaying the aircraft's flight path.
- SimBrief integration with Navigraph account sign-in for flight planning.
- LIDO charts.
- Updated weight-and-balance and ground-services pages, including GPU controls.
- Configuration options for cockpit movement and engine torque indications.
Updated Pro Line 21 Avionics
FlightFX has updated the aircraft's Pro Line 21 avionics to the latest Working Title implementation included with MSFS 2024 Sim Update 7.
This brings the P180's flight deck into line with the simulator's latest avionics developments.

Dynamic Wing Flex and Cockpit Effects
Version 2.5 introduces dynamic wing flex that responds to aerodynamic loading, turbulence, take-off and landing.
On the ground, each wing can also react independently to its corresponding engine's propeller RPM. Even the wingtip lights move with the flexing wings.
Additional cockpit effects simulate turbulence, propeller vibration, engine shudder and ground rumble, with adjustable settings through the EFB.
A new torque indication cue shows where engine torque is expected to settle, while severely damaged engines can now produce black smoke.

More Detailed Ice Protection
The aircraft's ice protection systems have also received significant attention.
FlightFX has introduced more detailed modelling of the windshield heaters, including six individual heating zones.
Wing anti-icing now produces visible frost accumulation and removal, while engine and wing anti-icing systems affect electrical consumption and engine inter-turbine temperature (ITT).
Related cockpit indications, caution lights and heater current draw have also been modelled.
Further Improvements and Fixes
The update includes additional refinements:
- The ground power unit now provides continuous electrical power and charges the main battery.
- Selected aircraft settings are now retained between flights.
- White position lights have been corrected.
Available Now
Piaggio P180 Avanti II version 2.5.0 is available now through the Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace, according to FlightFX's official announcement.
The update represents a significant step forward for an aircraft that occupies a distinctive position between conventional executive turboprops and business jets.
With its updated avionics, more sophisticated aircraft systems and additional immersion features, the P180 Avanti II continues to offer an interesting alternative for virtual business aviation pilots.
BizJet Pilot will continue following FlightFX's aircraft developments and future updates.
