FSReborn has confirmed further progress on its upcoming autothrottle implementation for the Embraer Phenom 300E in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, with a real-world pilot now involved in helping validate the system.
The development follows an announcement on 19 October 2026, when FSReborn developer Raul revealed that the first working version of the autothrottle had been completed and was being passed to the internal team for testing.
The developer also confirmed that Vertical Situation Display (VSD) and Control Wheel Steering (CWS) functionality had been implemented and were undergoing testing.
Real-World Pilot Assistance Secured
One of the challenges highlighted by FSReborn has been the limited technical documentation available for accurately reproducing the Phenom 300E's autothrottle behaviour.
In his original announcement, Raul appealed for assistance from pilots familiar with the aircraft's real-world autothrottle system, explaining that additional operational knowledge would help improve the simulation's accuracy.
A subsequent discussion on FSReborn's official Discord server revealed that this effort had made progress.
On 23 October, Raul confirmed that he had established contact with a pilot who uses the system and had obtained supporting video material.
He also stated that the pilot was expected to test the implementation in the simulator over the following weekend.
This represents an important development in FSReborn's efforts to reproduce the aircraft's systems as faithfully as possible.

Autothrottle, VSD and CWS Improvements
The developing update is expected to introduce several significant enhancements to the Phenom 300E's flight deck.
Autothrottle is the headline addition, with FSReborn working to reproduce the aircraft's automatic thrust-management operations.
The Vertical Situation Display will provide additional vertical flight-path information, while Control Wheel Steering will introduce further control functionality.
FSReborn is also expanding control-binding support within MSFS 2024, including functions associated with the yoke, autothrottle, Garmin touchscreen controllers, panel lighting and cabin temperature controls.
The aircraft's documentation is being updated to reflect the new capabilities.
Focus on System Accuracy
During the Discord discussion, Raul highlighted the importance of distinguishing between different autothrottle installations.
He noted that an installation demonstrated in one shared real-world video was a retrofit system rather than the Embraer configuration FSReborn understood it needed to reproduce.
The discussion illustrates the technical challenges involved in accurately modelling modern business-jet systems, particularly where detailed operational documentation is not readily available.
Securing input from a pilot familiar with the relevant equipment should provide FSReborn with a valuable opportunity to assess the system's behaviour against real-world experience.

Release Timing
FSReborn has not confirmed a release date for the autothrottle update.
Although the developer indicated that pilot testing was planned for the weekend following 23 October, no subsequent testing results or release confirmation were included in the announcements reviewed by BizJet Pilot.
The addition of autothrottle, together with VSD and CWS, could represent a substantial enhancement to the Phenom 300E's capabilities in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
BizJet Pilot will continue monitoring FSReborn's development updates as testing progresses.
