Lunar AeroLabs has revealed a substantial development update for its LAGF800 ultra-long-range business jet, showcasing a refreshed exterior model, revised cockpit displays and improvements to the passenger cabin for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

The developer's latest Sunday update, published on 25 October 2026 through its official Discord community, describes the changes as one of the project's largest visual updates to date.

The LAGF800 is an independently developed, fictional business jet inspired by contemporary ultra-long-range executive aircraft. It is not intended to be a licensed or one-to-one recreation of any particular real-world aircraft.

Extensive Exterior and Cabin Improvements

The latest development build introduces a complete refresh of the aircraft's exterior model, accompanied by updated cockpit and passenger cabin details.

Lunar AeroLabs has also reworked the aircraft's white and charcoal livery, introduced new windscreen and cabin glass, and improved exterior lighting assemblies.

Other changes include restored baggage door interactions, revised engine materials, configurable registrations and numerous geometry and panel-fit corrections.

The developer has shared new screenshots illustrating the revised aircraft, including exterior views and a night-time cockpit image.

Cockpit and Avionics Refinements

The development update also highlights substantial work on the LAGF800's flight deck.

Improvements include revised cockpit sidewalls, pillars, trim and window surrounds, alongside better positioning and fit of the cockpit displays.

The Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Multi-Function Display (MFD) layouts have been refined, while the aircraft's EXO terrain presentation has received further enhancements.

Lunar AeroLabs also reports improvements to autopilot, Head-Up Display (HUD) and standby instrument integration, together with corrections to throttle and reverser animations.

These changes form part of the developer's efforts to deliver a sophisticated business aviation cockpit experience within MSFS 2024.

Working Title Epic 2 v2 Avionics

According to the project's official FAQ, the LAGF800 uses Working Title Epic 2 v2 as the foundation for its avionics.

Lunar AeroLabs is building additional aircraft-specific functionality around that platform, including custom displays, system integrations and operating logic.

The aircraft is being developed using WebAssembly (WASM), which the developer says allows it to implement more complex aircraft systems and functionality.

One distinctive feature is a custom APRON View, designed to provide airport situational awareness directly through the avionics.

The current implementation uses a 2D presentation showing information such as parking positions, gates, taxiways, runways and airport layouts.

Integrated charts and airport diagrams are also planned as part of the avionics experience.

SpeedPad Electronic Flight Bag

The LAGF800 will feature an integrated Electronic Flight Bag called SpeedPad.

Rather than functioning solely as a standalone tablet, SpeedPad is designed to exchange aircraft and performance information with the avionics.

The developer has outlined functionality covering take-off and landing performance, V-speed calculations, aircraft weights, fuel management, flight-planning data and aircraft configuration.

It will also provide system utilities and support the transfer of performance data into the flight deck's avionics.

Lunar AeroLabs has additionally confirmed plans for a professionally produced custom sound package, using recordings from a real ultra-long-range business jet.

Q3 2027 Release Target

The LAGF800 is being developed exclusively for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, with Lunar AeroLabs currently targeting a release during Q3 2027, between July and September.

The developer has stated that the aircraft will cost no more than US$40, although a final retail price has not been announced.

Community beta testing is also planned, with applications expected to open when the development team is ready. Testers will be selected according to the project's requirements.

Additional features, including automatic step climbs and a pause-at-top-of-descent function, remain under consideration rather than confirmed for release.

An Original Approach to Business Aviation

Unlike add-ons that recreate specific aircraft from established manufacturers, the LAGF800 is being developed as an original aircraft with its own branding, systems and operating characteristics.

Lunar AeroLabs says its aim is to create an aircraft that feels authentic to modern business aviation without reproducing proprietary real-world aircraft software or presenting the product as an officially licensed replica.

The developer's latest screenshots and development update suggest that work is continuing across both the aircraft's visual presentation and its underlying cockpit functionality.

With a substantial amount of development still ahead, the LAGF800 remains a project to watch as it progresses towards its proposed 2027 release window.

BizJet Pilot will continue following Lunar AeroLabs' development announcements as further details emerge.
